Must be in the Horror, Fantasy, or Science Fiction genre
Word restrictions: All entries must be between 1,500 – 6,000 words.
Entry fee: $10 for each entry (U.S. funds only). Payment can be made via PayPal or check (make checks payable to Absent Willow Publishing, LLC).
Mailed Entries must be addressed to: Absent Willow Publishing Contest, PO Box 66, Rochester NH, 03866.
Mailed Entries must include entry form and submission fee
Manuscripts will not be returned
Entries must be previously unpublished

Each submission must include:

A separate cover page with the name of contest, title of manuscript, writer’s name, address, telephone number, e-mail address if available, and word count.
On the manuscript itself, each page headed with a title key word and page number.
Nowhere on the manuscript should the author’s name appear.
No staples please.
Photocopies accepted – manuscripts will not be returned

Copyrights to manuscripts remain with author. Absent Willow Publishing will have exclusive First Worldwide Electronic Rights or First English Rights to publish and distribute First, Second, Third, and selected Honorable Mention winning stories. The Author agrees that The Absent Willow Review may archive this work after its initial publication on its website.

One winner and two finalists will be chosen. Announcements will be posted on our website on or before 7/01/2010. Winning entries and Honorable Mentions will also be published online at the The Absent Willow Review.
